It's probably also no secret that I'm a bit contradictory, but regardless-- after a discussion with a good friend yesterday I started to wonder...what's the big deal with picking just one thing..one label..one title..one being.
Why must I be a Christian, but not a Feminist? Or a gay rights supporter, or a Buddhist, but not both? Why must I only be one, but not the other. Why must there be a black or white? Who decides what's right and what's wrong? Why do we continually try to fit into labels...try to clearly define who/what we are?
So many questions, and yet still not enough answers. But, for now, I will bask in the questions--in the wonder--and in the curiosity.
Isn't that the excitement of it all? Isn't life about renewal and growing and learning and challenging yourself beyond measure? Not confining, but rather exploring and searching all the possibilities this world has to offer...
I think that life is at it's peak when we are loving the process and loving ourselves through the process--through the hiccups, the yays, and the bad hair days.
