Anyway, it's occurred to me--not recently, mind you--that there is always something for our society to debate about. Whether it be about the weather, or how to parent, or how to properly lose weight or which weight is deemed acceptable and attractive... it's always something.
Lately, we've put our energy and focus on LGBTQ matters. On Caitlyn Jenner and her gender. And what I wonder is...what does this mean for you? Yes, you, personally.
For some of us she's brave and our hero, because we too struggle with our identity. For some of us she's an abomination, because she undermines our religious views. For some of us she's a stone cold fox, because we don't keep up with the media and legitimately thought she was a long lost Jenner sister. For some of us she's just another being trying to get by.
Regardless of who she is to you, I wonder what good does it do to keep harping on the subject? Because, again--to me, this story has absolutely nothing to do with LGBTQ matters, but everything to do with love/heart matters.
I sincerely believe that being open and receptive to love is a lifestyle and not a mindset. And come what may, we must continue to keep that love flowing to and from other beings. Part of this flow is in what we say and that what we say is an overflow of our hearts stance. And from the articles I've seen and read lately--I ache at the majority of our nation's heart stance. Article after article is filled with hate. Looking beyond each articles religious/political/moral stance--all I see and hear is people who are "committed to misunderstanding."
And it raises the question--if you at some point you had all of your business put out there for all the world to see, how would you expect/hope for the world to react?
You see--we try to muddle this beautiful life. We try to make it hard with research and facts and theories and notions, but in reality, it's very simple.
Do unto others and you would want them to do to you.
