What I don't get, however, is the amount of traffic and respect this national day is getting.
You see, I'm a feminist. And I'm not afraid or ashamed to say so because I know what feminism means and I know what it stands for and I believe that the core of feminism, like many other values/beliefs in this world, is inherently good.
But time and time again, I see women who are afraid to proclaim to the world that they too are of equal value/importance/worth.
Because ultimately that's what feminism is.
The belief that men and women should share equality in all shapes and forms.
So I suggest that not only today, but everyday, women express their love for themselves, their ideas, their beliefs, their bodies, and their counterparts.
